Within the implementation of the international project “One belt – one way” the Samara region is supposed to become one of the main logistics points in the territory of the Russian Federation that will process containerized cargo of rail transport following the direct route from railway station “Bezymyanka” to China’s logistics stations. Taking into account the demand of China’s trade networks, it is planned that agricultural products such as flour, sunflower and soybean oil, honey, cereal flakes, corn, confectionery products, juices etc. produced both in the Samara region and other regions of Privolzhsky Federal District will be the main products to be exported to China during the first stage of the project. At a later stage, the range of products will be expanded.
At the moment, active cooperation with Chinese companies is underway to clarify volumes and nomenclature of exported goods; the process of preparing the first container train to be launched is at its final stage.
A number of regions of Privolzhsky Federal District have been involved to the participation in the project (the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republic of Mordovia, Penza region, Saratov region etc.)
