At the invitation of JSC “PromParki”, a delegation from People’s Republic of China headed by Mr. Zhu Jun – a professor, an adviser of the company «China Beijing Railway Administration» - visited the Samara region on December 3^rd - December 7^th, 2017. The company is the largest national rail operator of People’s Republic of China.

One of the main tasks of their visit was to explore the possibility of establishing a direct cargo railway route between the Samara region and People’s Republic of China as part of the project “One Belt One Way”.

On December 4^th, the meeting with participation of representatives of sectorial ministries and branch departments was held in the Directorate of Kuibyshev Railways – branch of JSC “RZHD” - with the aim of discussing further prospects of collaboration within the above-stated project. The willingness to provide the maximum possible support in implementation of project and engagement of regional organizations interested in exporting agricultural products to China was expressed during the meeting. At the moment, following the demand of Chinese trade networks, the possibility to supply agricultural products and food such as flour, sunflower and soybean oil, honey, cereal flakes, corn, confectionery products, juices etc. produced both in the Samara region and other regions of Privolzhsky federal district is being considered.

The guests visited container yard of the railway station “Bezymyanka” where they had a chance to get acquainted with technical conditions of the station and its potential.

Besides that, the meeting with acting vice-governor – minister of economic development, investments and trade of the Samara region A.V.Kobenko was held, where the issues of trade- economic and investment cooperation were discussed.

On December 5^th the Chinese delegation visited elevator and mill complex “ZHITO” (Group of companies SINKO) where they got acquainted with production facilities and highly evaluated the quality of wheat flour “Grain of Life”. The guests were shown the whole production cycle: preliminary selection of quality grain, lab test for the most important multi-stage cleaning and milling and then another lab test of ready flour, automated packing in bags. The delegation was able to make sure in ecological purity of the product, absence of any additives and strict quality control at every production stage. Currently two flour mills of the group of company SINKO produce 520 tons of high quality flour per day. This flour is delivered by flour trucks to Samara largest bread production plants and confectionery factories and in bags – to small bakeries and food production facilities. What concerns export of flour, it will be the first experience for the group of companies SINKO. Before, ZHITO enterprises have only exported grain by ships: corn, chickpea and barley.

On the same day evening, the Chinese delegation discussed the possibility of developing cooperation in the field of import supplies from China with the management of the Russian largest trade net selling children’s toys “Begemot”.

In the following days the delegation from China visited industrial parks “Chapaevsk” and “Preobrazhenka” of the Samara region with the aim of studying possibility of establishing multimodal transport and logistics terminal. The guests were warmly welcomed by the head of urban district Chapaevsk Ashepkov V.V. During this meeting the intentions on possibility to establish twin-city relations between urban district Chapaevsk and Chinese cities were confirmed.

During their visit to the oil-extracting factory CJSC “Samaraagroprompererabotka” in urban-type settlement Bezenchuk, representatives of the delegation conducted negotiations with producers of vegetable oil.

At the end of the visit, Chinese guests met with the management of Center of breakthrough researches “Information technologies in the medical field” and got acquainted with the latest developments in medicine. Professor Zhu Jun, who has considerable experience in this field and the center of medical developments in Chine, expressed high level of interest in the development of mutual cooperation in this direction.
